We will have a test on Thursday, May 17, 2012.  The test will be on our Proportions unit, which includes ratios, unit rates, and unit conversions.  As always, we will do an in-class review prior to the test.  Also, you can download a study guide from the Study Guides page.

As a result of the recent theft and extreme damage  to four of our TI-73 Graphing Calculators, the Classroom Calculators will no longer be available for student use. 

Every day, I reminded the students to please return the calculators back to the case at the end of the class period, and at the end of every class period I picked up at least 10 calculators off the floor, left out on desks, and even in the hallway.

As you can see in the photos, the calculator screens have been cracked by someone either stepping on or smashing them.  As far as the stolen calculators, I can only hope that they are returned.

This type of carelessness and disrespect for school property is completely unacceptable and does nothing but prevent students from being able to use these tools to aid in their learning. 

So, for the remainder of the school year, Team 71 students must provide their own calculators if they want to use one in class.

We will have a quiz on Wednesday, April 25, 2012.  The quiz is on Ratios, Unit Rates, and Unit Conversions.

School resumes on Monday, April 9, 2012.

We will have a test on Tuesday, March 27, 2012.  The test is on Graphing.  We will do an in-class review prior to the test.  You can also download the study guide from my Study Guides page–it will be available this afternoon.
